Any one have a Simoniz Random Orbit cordless polisher? i have had one around for awhile and i am just wondering if anyone else has one, and if they think they are any good? Are they comparable to a porter cable? it does not have a speed control, they sell them at canadian tire. I am looking to use it for getting out light cob webs, anyone had any sucess, if so what products did you use?

Don't waste your money on it. It doesn't have a speed setting nor the power to do any paint correction. It would be more suitable for adding a wax or sealant than any serious polishing. You'll be better off saving your fourty dollars and investing in a PC.

If it's similar to the Nikota/Wen polisher, then it won't be useful for correction (completely different animal than the Porter-Cable). It is, on the other hand, and nice little tool to make applying a coat of wax or sealant go a little faster.

I have one and yes you can do minor spot correction with if your patient but you need to bring a few meals if your going to tackle anything with it .. I now use it to apply LSP.
