Hi,

my wife has a new 2005 Ford 500 seadan. I would like to detail it. I will clay bar the car and then wash again. My question is what would you folks reccomend for a polish afterwards ? AIO, Zaino, Mothers, ect.. for a silver finish

I haved used PB's ProPolish on my satin silver CR-V when it doesn't need any mechanical abrasive polishing....I use SSR's for that. My favorite combo right now after the polishing is VM/RMG/UPP/Natty's. I will be giving Collinite's Doublecoat and IW a try for winter as soon as it shows up at my door.

AIO, 1Z Glanz wax and P21s on silver for me, after proper polishing and prep. Reflective, wet and Glossy.

AIO/RMG/UPP/Natty's gives a nice deep wetness to silver. You could skip the AIO step, but I do it to remove any left over polishing oils that were left after wiping the polish off.

for sure AIO then a topper such as Pinnacle Sig, P21s...they will all get you a great result...

Seems like Fred is new like me. After asking a similar question here, I went with Klasse AIO and SG. I'm not sure it was the best solution, but it seems like a popular one and it worked out really well. I thought it was pretty easy to use as well, and gave me a good basis of knowledge about the process. I see a lot of comments about how KSG isnt user friendly, but I felt it was extremely easy to use after a small amount of reading.

Here are some pictures of my car after KSG x1. It was dusk, and cloudy, but the finish was like a mirror. The car definately popped after KSG x2. It really brought out the pearl in my "Tungsten Pearl" finish. Prior to detailing it just looked silver.

Here is what I did:

Wash

Clay

Klasse AIO

Klasse SG (Pictures)

how will you apply the IW? over the VM/RMG/UPP/Natty's combo? i have the same products and want to use the IW for winter protection but am unsure how to apply it.
