This is my brothers 01 BMW 4.4 X5. It has about 81K on it. We went up to Ohio for a visit this past w/e so I brought some detail supplies with me.

Last Christmas we went up and I did some work on his dodge pickup and gave his X5 some zaino.

The wife said no detailing the whole time we are up there. You can do one vehicle and thats it. :nono

Process:

Wheel wells and tires: SG/scrubbed and rinsed with pressure washer.

Wheels: PB SnR and pressure washer to rinse.

Paint:

QEW once section, clay same section with QEW as lube, then QEW and dry.

Prime strong PC5 Green Excel detail P2 pad

Trigger 2x

PB TR on the trim and a little on the tires. He does not have any tireshine at all.

No interior work done.

After flying in friday AM and only getting 4.5 hours of sleep the night before. I was a little tired when I detailed the X5. I forgot to use PS on the lower doors. :spit: Thats why it looks like 2 tone paint. So you can see how much of a difference the PS made on this paint. Sorry no before pics. Next time we go up I will see how the lower sections that don't have PS on them compare to the areas that do.

I finally sent some supplies up to him in the mail. So now all I take is the PC/pads.

So you won't go to Stone Mountain to detail that guy's Bimmer but you will go to Ohio? Can I see a map of your coverage area? Something is wrong. Also, that car is looking dated. I think it is time for a change for him.

The two tone shot is awesome. I NEVER would have thought it made that much difference. I have got to try out some of that PS.

As always, great work.

Side note...wow, it is REALLY flat in Ohio. Also, brother's house looks moi pimpo. He must be the favorite child.

Thanks for the comments guys!

If the paint does not have too much swirling or defects, PS/prime and AJ/trigger work very well.

Yes the things we do for family. If he picks up something else he still wants to keep the X5 as that is his and the new ride will be the wifes.

More like the smart child. :bigups

Guys, again thanks for the comments on the X5.

Yes its quite the hood they live in. The house in the background under construction will have 5-6 garages and rumors are that he has a Bugatti Veyron on order. You are only seeing 2/3rds of that house in the pic. Sorry no other pics of that house.

nice, AJ trigger is my go to for my Arctic Silver paint too. Once a month on my carrera wheels.

say what' a crib of that size going for these days? Not the Bugatti mansion..

off topic some more, I have friend in common with a current F1 driver and he told

me said driver delivered a high HP AMG Mercedes to a VIP as part of a sponsorship event. "They absoulutely should not sell this car to the public" was all he said. And that Merc has nothing close in power to the Veyron.

Wow, the X5 looks like it just came out of the factory. Would never guess it has 80K miles on it. Beautiful job!

I gotta get me some of that Prime Strong to try.

Thanks guys!

PS and AJ or trigger are starting to become my go to for those light colored cars that don't need much.
