Ok, no replies yet...I'll give this a start and others can add what I missed......
a quick detailer is a spray product for the paint which some use for in-between carwash touch-ups, or to boost shine/slickness after a wash and prolong the protection.
I'm probably going to get bit for this one, but I think of a QD as a watered down wax that you can just spray on/wipe off.
QDs can be Carnauba based [natural wax] or synthetic based which sometimes contain silicone, but some are synthetic and do not...not sure what they are, though.
