If a product says that it contains silicone emulsion does this mean that it's the good silicone or bad?

Um... not really. (no hard feelings) Is silicone emulision part of the siloxane or amino family?

Silicone emulsion means it's a silicone emulsified in another liquid. The silicone is probably a siloxane. Amino identifies the family type of silicone.



Here's a definition of emulsion: A suspension of small globules of one liquid in a second liquid with which the first will not mix.



An example would be vinegar and oil, as in a salad dressing.



From the description you've given (silicone emulsion), it's impossible to say if it's an amino functional silicone or not.
