My wife likes it as long as I take care of her car. I really don't mind taking care of her car because I usually try new products on it.

Heh heh, that sounds like Accumulatorette She's always looking at "show cars" and asking me what I'd do to fix the marring. Her current pet peeve is holograms.

I've said before that a supportive other half is a vital part of any hobby - especially an obsessive one.



I'm lucky as my better 1/2's VERY understanding and very supportive and she's even started doing interiors (and has mentioned she'd like to try my PC) plus she pushes my "skills" to her colleagues which brings in detailing for pocket money!



She still thought 8 hours on my new car yesterday was crazy but she brought me McDonalds halfway through and then gave me a back rub when I'd finished as boy was I aching!



Plus as long as her car gets looked after she's happy

I'm lucky...my wife supports me in every aspect. Even though she doesn't quite get all the nuances of detailing she makes an effort to try and understand (even though I know she has no interest in it). At car shows she takes great pride in pointing out cars that have "those nasty swirls". I'm so proud of her.



She has also stood behind me starting and running my detailing business from the get go. I don't know if I could have done it with out her.

When I was still married, my ex-wife didn't mind me detailing (still just a hobby then) because I took care of her car too.



All my girlfriends have liked me detailing as well for the same reason.

Probably all the answers at one point or another! She does like the cleanliness everyone mentions when they get in or see the outside.
