Signature Detailed-09 Pontiac G8 GXP

A customer called me I knew I was detailing his car this week, he asked me grab his car from a dealership local to me and get it done. Not a problem I knew the owner and knew he took care of the car I figure one step at least...Was I wrong.... This is what I started with...OVerall not in Terrid shape lots of Bird crap and some RIDS.

Seeing that it was a rather chilly day here in NJ, I had my helper foam the car... I de-greased the wheel wells and engine bay and scrubbed with a couple different brushes to get it clean.

I pulled it inside and clay barred the entire car...Gratutious Clay bar shot

I took care of the interior I used some new toys that I have been dying to test out...First is this fuzzy fingers... It acutally works well for vents and area's that have multiple crevices.

I then went at it with my mini vacumm kit... An adapter attaches tot he vacumm and then a tube from that attaches to the the attachments Very fine attachments, brushes, crevice tool and extensions....Very usefull for dashes and interiors in general..I dressed the interior with opti-trim....Afters to come

I also went around and recorded all of his paint levels. I wanted to have them for the next time I detailed the car to make sure there was plenty of clear. He had some good healthy readings

Well now to the exterior. It wasn't in bad shape so I decided to do a two step on it. 203 on a white pad followed by 85rd. The 203 finished down nice enough to to finish with the 85. Although there were a few deeper scratches that needed light wet sanding. I only used 2500 to 3000 grit. They were light enough to make the difference.

The rear window and sunroof had some pretty bad water spots, being tinted they were more prevelant. I went over both with glass science scrub…Sure enough they were removed without much elbow grease

Finishing up here... I dressed the hoses and parts of the engine with Fade2Black and opti-trim. The owner took off all the plastics and has plans for the engine

Finals for the interior, I prestine cleaned the leather and dressed the rest with opti-trim dressing...Nice finish...

Beautiful car...based on the history of the vehicle (last great Pontiac), it's going to be worth a boatload of $$ in around 30 years. If I owned it, I'd drive it very little and keep it bone stock. It simply won't be easily replaceable in a few years.
