Showdown! Blackfire vs. Zaino

I did put Z6 over the BF on the same day I Z5'd. It didn't slow the dust down any. I looked at my truck just a couple hours later, and there was already dust accumulating on the BF'd panels.

The Zaino gives a very clear shine that to me is a little boring. If you play electric guitar and like using no effects you may like Zaino.

The blackfire gives the color some extra punch, sort of intensifies it. I happen to like this look. Not that Zaino is bad it's just a Preference.

I have to say the Z5 does not fill in small scratches or hide slight imperfections at all on the cars I used it on.

Zaino does seem to protect longer though.

I guessed right on the pics. Just did a red Audi today.

Your PC may go to 7, but the shine on the Toyota Goes to 11.

I don't understand why you used Z5. Did you have swirl problems? I've never used Zaino products, but got curious about them and I might. Assuming you have a clearcoat finish, you should get shinier results with Z1 followed by Z2 and then possibly followed by Z6.

I'm not a car detailing nut, so maybe there is something I don't understand. But that seems to be what Zaino is recommending for the ultimate gloss from their products.

Additionally, I think you should have used Z1 before Z5 even if you weren't going to use Z2.

From the Zaino tips page:

http://www.zainobros.com/files/tips.htm

" Z-5 can be used initially after Z-1 or at anytime thereafter. You should switch to Z-2 as soon as you are happy with the way the paint finish looks. Example, no more swirls, scratches etc. It's up to you. Z-2 has higher optical properties than Z-5"

Good luck, hope this helps you get that perfect shine.
