Should old wax be stripped

I would like to polish my car with M105 and M205 to get the paint swirls out. Should the old wax on the car be stripped first or can I just start to polish?

After you wash the car, you should use a clay bar and it will remove the wax. Then your ready to polish the vehicle.

If I know I'm going to buff and polish with both M105 and 205 I wouldn't waste any time trying to remove any wax or sealant left on the paint. Plus I can't imagine any residual wax or sealant would inhibit the affects of both 105 and 205 so I would vote for not trying to remove wax before an agressive polish session.

I would also agree with claying before using 105/205. If you've decided you need to cut that agressively you are probably in need of a clay routine as well and that will help remove some if not all of your previous LSP.

I've also borrowed Bryan B's method of straight iso alc to wipedown after using both 105 and 205. If any LSP is left after I'm done with all these steps I want to invest in the LSP manufacturer!!!

I guess that's the long way of simply agreeing with previous posts here!
