should i still pay for GOOGLE ad words?

I come up #3 or #2 organically depending on which search criteria people use locally, but now that it's winter and spending is tight, should I continue to pay for adwords?
 
Not sure how your success has been with it, but Adwords was nothing but a waste of money for me so I would say no. Have you tried Facebook advertising? It's set up alot like Adwords but it's alot more targeted and people with the interests you select will see your ad without doing a search for detailing. And a whole lot cheaper too. I did an add that said get a 10% discount for liking our page, then when they liked it, I would shoot them a message saying thanks for the like and when can we schedule your detail.
 
If you already appear #2 or 3 organically, I dont see a reason to use google adwords unless you like losing money. These same people would of likely clicked on your organic result anyway. The only point of adwords is to be on that first page when you cant organically. Alot of people, including myself, usually ignore the adwords anyway and go right to the organic.
 
I just feel like there are specific terms that I'm not really going to come up for, such as "winter wax" or "show car detailing" without the aid of the ad words.



I'm skeptical of the FB ads-would like to know more info!
