Call an Ambulance !

My wife woke up this morning with severe tummy cramps, low grade fever and has on one or two occasions done this > :vomit:

Sitting in an Emergency Room waiting room for 4 hours doesn't appeal to either of us. I've heard if you arrive by Ambulance you bypass the waiting room. We have insurance that will pay for the Taxi ....urrr Disney's fastpass ...urrr urrr, I mean uh, Ambulance, so it's not like we are abusing the system, right?

My wife's life rests in your hands :popcorn

Not true........

I have delivered many patients that have gotten FL therapy

If it's a true emergency then call 911

If she doesn't stop asking me to get up every 10 minutes and bring her something I'm going to consider it an emergency. Being the weaker vessel, she is suppose to wait on me, not me on her, right?

She can get very dramatic if I allow it :notme:

Now she is complaing that she is to sick to cook :violin: and that I must fend for myself tonight

Taco Bell or Wendys :hmmm:

Wait for her to "get better".

I suppose thats what worked in the old days.

Well really if it's the flu all they gonna do is give her a bag of fluid, mebbe a script for Tamiflu

big thing is, if its more than that....... then she gonna get worked up

I don't know what to do at this point. I will continue to monitor the patient throughout the evening. If I see conditions worsen, I will call the Taxi

How do you know so much about Doctoring Ronkh. I thought you were into commercial real estate?

tylenol, ibuprofen, fluids , and monitor. could be a short term bug. do you guys have any doctor's walk in clinics, etc in the area ? or tell her to cowgirl up and quit whining. then you can enjoy your nice stay at the motel 8.

Trouble,

How is your wife feeling? When patients are taken by ambulance---they'll speak with ER on the way to the hospitals, and staff there will decide upon arrival as to whether that patient in the ambulance will need to be seen right away or not.. If your wife has cramps, and low grade fever---some people have a low grade fever as that is their normal temperature.. but if it is is low grade---near normal---like others have said, observe.. cramping---not pain? doesn't sound like any need for ER---not yet. softoa..

Turns out her apendix has gone out.....they say it's gotta be removed today....I guess she wasn't just trying to get out of making me dinner after all ... :thinking

They might as well tell you when you arrive to pay a $300 express check in charge otherwise be faced with torture sitting in the waiting room for reception paperwork and waiting orderal. I bet that would actually generate a lot of money.

Man, been there. Went 2 weeks with the pain, docs were amazed it didn't explode. Ironically the paint after surgery hurt me more, took months to fully recover and still had muscle pains where they ripped a few muscles. Good luck, she won't be able to lift anything for a bit.
