Short term Collinite reveiw

Don

Darth Camaro 12/27/15
Last Tuesday was the first detail my car has had since November. It was cleaned with DACP, polished with #9 and then received 2 coats of Insulator Wax by PC/Finishing Pad @ 4. Since then, we've had 4 straight days of rain (now snow :wall ) and the car's been driven about 500 miles through the crud.

Other than the rear of the trunk and the rear bumper, the car still looks clean. Rainwater (and melting snow) is still beading up and running right off (even on the sides). Dirt & grunge thrown up by wheel splash doesn't seem to be sticking to the finish. Only the wheels and tires are showng build up (The tires were treated with Hot Shine, but I haven't gotten to putting a sealant on the rims yet).

Unfortunately it doesn't look like the weather's going to cooperate on my days off for a wash & pics. :ticked

Would love to hear more about your Collinite detail....I've posted about these products before but received no replies. Are you planning to top the insulator wax(sealant?) with Super Double coat(sealant?) or Marque D'Elegance(carnauba). Please post pics if you get the chance. Any info about durability or swirl removal (hidding or fixing) would be appreciated as well as your knowledge about the other products. How would these products be to apply/remove by hand. Thanks, look forward to your detail, tips and pics.

how did the finsh look with the insulator wax? is it glossy? i just have the idea that collinite is more for protection rather than looks.

i repeat, i just have an idea. not stating.

This pic isn't a trick of lighting (although it does intenisfy the effect). That's how the car actually looks outside in the light. As you all know, it's hard to capture the true look with a camera, but this is almost exactly how it appears to the naked eye.
