Shop Orginization!

I figured I'd start this thread for those of us with actual detail shops to share pictures and tips on staying very organized... I recently opened my own auto detailing shop in a 3000 sq ft building and am looking for ways to make things look clean, organized, matching and professional. When it comes to things like storage, displays, etc I am OCD about everything matching (I think I have some kind of OCD but what detailer doesn't).... If you have any tips on things you built or bought, please post them! Anything to get organized and help make jobs go smoother is my goal here.

Any information and pictures would be greatly appreciated here guys!

Color code your bottles. Time yourself and learn how to shave seconds.......yes seconds off.

A good power washer with a hose reel will save you a ton of time as well.

Put up some pics of your new shop!

I would recommend a rolling cart and keeping a set of products you use most on the cart so you always have them within reach. And then another set of those same products on your shelves along with the rest of your products. This will help save time from walking across the shop to grab something.

setup "work spaces" where only one car in a designated area fits.

Obviously not detail related, although I would love to work on some trophy trucks and class 1's!!!! Its clean, its organized and all tools and supplies can be accounted for in each bay!

Wonder how much they would charge to lease out one of those bays...lol.

I can assure whatever they do it is not cheap. The overhead to keep the place that clean and stock it costs much money.

Thats just ridiculas! I freaken love every part about it. I would love to be in that building. Someday when I set up my 2nd location for Presidential Details.

LOL, terrible Herbst build facility...to say they have a few bucks is an understatement! I used to have an offroad prerunner, but no mas!

But thats how I would setup shop - picture a lambo aisle, a ferrari aisle, a porsche aisle, etc...thats how I would do it! Or full corrections, one step jobs, and complete details

and keeping it clean is not the hard part if all your employees were held accountable to clean up and restock everyday! the ones who dont, get fired simple as that! (er, maybe not that simple, but you get it). I used to work at a restaurant and every night we all split up the "chores" in less than one hour, the restaurant was ready to reopen the next morning without having to clean anything!

Wow what a sweet shop. And the pre runners and trophy trucks... WOW! That would be my dream shop. Only problem with me having it is once I had that much room I'd have to fill it up and to do that costs money which also causes clutter and headaches! Anyways, anymore pictures of some nice shops and organizing ideas would be awesome!
