ShoKar On An R32

As many of you know I had some samples sent to me of a new acrylic sealant called "ShoKar". I will post a link to that review for those interested in reading up on it. http://autopia.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=48594

This is a beautiful Electric Blue R32, also known as a "mini-killer:D It had some slight marring and generally just really dirty. After the wash it was polished following my usual routine of a Lake Country white pad with IP, followed by a LC blue finishing pad and FP.

I then used my Cyclo with white pads to apply the ShoKar cleaner. I then hand applied the Shokar sealant. Again easy on and easy off. The ShoKar cleaner though showed me it does not like water as some moisture was left in my pads after being cleaned. Got a little gummy but after allowing it to dry then hitting it once more it was no problem.

Shokar really made the paint very vibrant and wet looking. More than these pictures are able to show. Well enjoy the pictures.

This car is awesome by the way!

Anthony

Anthony--Beautiful as always and you never fail to impress but from what I read, the rest of us are going to have to wait quite some time for the opportunity to try this stuff out ourselves :(

Our fingers are all crossed!

The VW looks great! Nice and wet and deep, not overly reflective like a typical sealant. I like what I see so far. Id like to try some out when it is ready.

Thanks again, appreciate the compliments :)

I am glad to see that Autopia seems to have no problem with this posting as other forums have deleted my review.

Anthony,

We have no problem with reviews of new or existing products, actually we welcome them. DavidB wants Autopia to be known for it's unbiased community which is why he has chosen to initiate the lack of advertisers, including his own.

The only time we have a problem is when there is spamming involved, whether it be direct or indirect. Spamming will be handled immediately and aggressively.

As far as this review, it's a very good one. Thank you for posting it!

Wow Anthony, I just read what's going on DC. I am sorry you are catching grief for trying and liking ShoKar! I would like to make it clear that Anthony is surely not on ShoKar's dollar. Anthony was chosen to try ShoKar products based on his honest nature and detailing skills. We wanted a un-biased opinion on ShoKar and based on some of Anthony's reviews we knew he would expose any weaknesses in ShoKar if any. Although this sounds funny, we wanted to know if there were any negative issues on the product opposed to the positives and knew Anthony was just the man to pick a product apart!

I think once we start ShoKar eShine should disappear from forums. I think once we have our own line we need to sit back and eliminate the possibility of this type of politics. Most manufactures stay away from Forums to avoid this. I think we will do the same. I don't want anyone thinking positive reviews of ShoKar are paid advertisements!

Well, like I said, we are an *unbiased* community so all product reviews are welcome as long as the subject matter stays on the product and the process. The only problem would be when it shifts into *spamming mode* and becomes a "you have to buy this" thread. Reviews are very good, and are always welcome.

Eshine & JD,

Thank you for the support:xyxthumbs

I make mistakes, afterall I am human, and JD if I ever come off as being a "spammer" please let me know. Not my intention.

I wish to thank DavidB for the attitude and outlook he has towards this issue.

Later,

Anthony

It's nice to find a site that is unbiased and dose not kick you off for speaking the truth.

The paint on the Vdub still looks like it is drying!

Well now that's a great compliment! Thanks:)

Also, "Dent's and Detail's" is my partner and great friend, Ron. A great detailer in his own right and darn handy at pulling dents also.

He has also been recently blotted out from a recent episode elsewhere on this big place we call the "web", hence his choice of words.
