Shoes

I wear sneakers in winter. Flip flops in summer. Try and keep my feet out of the water. I don't particularly like them soaking in the wash run off.

I've tried a variety of shoes, the ones that kept my feet dry were slippery. The ones that weren't slippery on the garage floor had no support. Most recently I've been wearing deck shoes but my legs and ankles kill me after working on the concrete for a few hours.

Someone on another Forum raved about these for water-resistance as well as support. Mine ought to arrive tomorrow... I'll let you know how they work out.

Those might work, but why do they have to be so ugly? ;)

And I wear my deck shoes to work everyday. NO support, have to wear insoles.

A friend of mine wears vibrams to do anything wash related. They look a little goofy but are actually pretty comfy. Anyone opposed to crocs?? hahahah

My thoughts exactly. Fortunately I'm not looking to make a fashion statement when I'm in the garage. If I was I'd break out the fancy thongs instead of the old holey ones.

Eggzactly. Working in 'em on concrete has to be the worst.

UPS dropped off the new stompers about an hour ago. Yeah, they may be fugly but they're one of the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. Anti skid as advertised. These things grip so well you have to be careful about abrupt stops or you'll end up on your nose!

Jury is out on water resistance and comfort over time when working on the concrete for an extended period. Will report when I know more.

Did I mention these things are really comfy? :bigups
