I wear flip flops at home, but what do you wear when you are washing customer's vehicles?
I was thinking maybe some kind of "swim" waterproof shoes, as I can't stand wet tennis shoes.

I wear tennis shoes. If your getting your shoes that wet while washing a car, you might want to think about your process.

I wear uggs

jk

my feet don't get that wet as I just do my cars and fam & friends. I'd imagine any shoe with goretex lining would be good. Maybe a lightweight hiking boot?

My feet get wet but it's usually from the buckets when I'm pulling out the wash mitt or dropping it in when I'm getting ready to move the buckets around. Sometimes if I rinse an area and the water runs off the car at just the right spot I'll get my feet wet.

I've seen different shoes that allow water to flow out of them but it doesn't avoid getting the feet wet. I bought some GTechniq I4 to try and I'll be testing it on my shoes. It should help keep my feet dry if it works like I think it will

I don't seem to get that problem. Now my shirt on the other hand...

Maybe I need to work on my process.

Haha, no doubt I need to work on my process. Maybe I am just used to walking in water in flip flops, as my driveway puddles bad. I probably wouldn't notice if the puddles weren't there and I was wearing shoes.

I will have to go on the search for some cheap swim type shoes and try to find some that aren't too goofy looking :D

I have that same problem but I don't think it's my process more so my belly that I have developed with age. I wish it was my process it would be easier to correct.

Yeah, I'm getting a good start on that too. Guess I can work on the stomach over the next few winter months.

The winter months is when I don't seem to notice it's not until I walk away from the car after drying it come summer time with a round wet spot about the size of a basketball on my shirt.

My shoes don't get overly wet but when I am washing I wear a pair of running shoes aka sneakers. They allow my feet to breath and dry if need be.

Hmmm Bobby you seem to have not touched the belly end of this thread!!! Are you one of the lucky ones??:)

I wear these and man are they comfy (Nike Trail Ridge). Durable, light, good support, enough mesh where I can actually feel a breeze through the shoes and my socks. They match the uni too which is nice.

They're pretty much all-terrain running shoes

i just wear my normal shoes, if they are getting soaked use some 303 fabric guard or other fabric sealant product and will keep your feet nice and dry, going to do it to mine when i get some 303FG

I only do my personal cars and when I do I wear Red Wing work shoes.

I like support.

I also wash shirtless, weather permitting.
