Shine Supply Chop Top

Anyone try it yet? Their Flat Top is great. I just saw this on Corey`s site and ordered some based on the writeup and discussing it with him. Given some of the rock hard paints I`ve had lately, I think I can really use this. Let me know what you think of it. I`d probably be using it with my TB/3D black wool.

Heard nothing but great things about Shine Supply. I wish they would start carrying it in the Autopia store. Ray..Ray...

Yes, their Flat Top, which I`ve used, is very nice. I tend to grab for M100 just b/c I have a gallon of it, but the times where I`ve used FT, it has been impressive.

I would go with it but right now I have so much polish, between SRC compound (Which I love as a one step), FG400, SC300 and even using M205 as cutter, I have to weed out my inventory first... and I still want to try M101 one of these days. I figure by next year I`ll get to try it :rofl

Wanna drive to Ontario? I think I`ll have a candidate next weekend.

Haha, on my way!

I really love their stuff, havnt used anything aggressive from them though. The only complaint I have is their finishing polish smells pretty chemically, it wears on me, but it works amazing, just stinks.

I`ve been using it for a couple months as my go-to aggressive compound if FG400 isn`t cutting it. Smells a little funky, but great working time yet fast-acting, finishes out very well with very light to almost no marring with an orange foam pad

No experience with chop top yet but have used flat top and classic cut.
CC is a great one step on an MF and finishes really well. Cut level 6-7 finish 7-8. Long work time.

Flat top is dry in nature and does most of its work in the first two passes and has a small work time and dusts. Even less work time if you`re working outside in the open under shade (not designed for outside). Used it with MF, Yet to use it with foam though.

Chop top is twice the abrasive as FT and long work time. Here is my conversation with Jeremy for the common questions you have in mind :

Thanks for posting that conversation. I have ordered it and will be receiving it on Friday. I think the car I`m doing this weekend will be a good candidate for it given that it`s a 12 year old black BMW. I`m looking very forward to playing with it.

Looking forward for a review and pics (please update here if you make a new thread).
Kindly do post some comparison as well with other heavy weights if possible.

So ? Did you get to use it ? Any comparative analysis ?

Just checked out the website...pretty sweet! I`m actually in the market for a heavier cut compound but it`s made for a long throw polisher...Is it not a good idea to give it a whirl with a rotary? I`d like to try out there tire dressing as well!

My understanding is a rotary will work with anything, just don`t go using a DA with product designed for a rotary.

I always run into this and question it. I see al these awesome products that are geared towards DA polishers and wonder if they work with rotary. Then you see products that work best with a DA but only long throws...kinda confusing for a rotary user sometimes!
