Sheep skin vs lambs wool washmits??

I have previously used the micro-chenille mit and it caused marring on my vehicle so I wouuld like to get something a bit more paint friendly.

I was looking at the autogeek site and saw that they have lambswool and sheepskin wash mits. Which one is more paint friendly and least likely to cause marring?

Thanks

Well a lamb is a young sheep. If there is a walmart near you i would suggest running down there and picking up some eurow mitts. They are only 5 bucks each!

Personally i refrain from buying wash mitts online. They are all different so it's best to weed through them and pick out the good ones.

So the $5 lambswool at wal-mart would do just fine?

Yes, but make sure to check the thickness. I was in Wal Mart last night, and they had just filled their rack with these mits. I went through all of them, and there were 2 that were noticibly thicker than the others, so I bought those 2. Just make sure that you pick through the ones on the rack, because I have found that the thickness (plushness) does vary.

I am too. I had been using the micro-fiber one at wal-mart and the inside is falling apart. How long do these last? Do they fall apart?

Remember to (properly) CD-test your wash media. Soft enough is soft enough. Once you determine that the media you're using are OK, then it boils down to how you use them (a much more complicated matter ;) ).

Not to hijack your thread but what do you guy's think of boars hair brushes to wash a vehicle?

Heh heh, it'd be one mighty egregious threadjack if *I* got going on BHBs!

Short answer: the *right* BHB, used properly is very, very gentle. Most free-rinsing wash media I've ever tried. But a lot of BHBs aren't good enough and it's easy to use them improperly.

This one really is worth the dreaded search.
