<strong class='bbc'>Alright.. i have NOT applied any wax or carnuba to the car. So, ill just do a dawn wash, and keep layers the SG.. thanks..

doesnt the dawn remove the SG? [/b]</blockquote>
Skip the dawn wash. If you are worried about the carnauba content in your QD, don't worry about it as long as you give your car a thorough wash (w/ regular non-waxed carwash) prior to adding an SG layer. This way, you are removing any minute amounts of carnauba that may be left over from the quick detailer while keeping intact all the previous SG coats you've applied.

Either you guys are not following along my question, or i am just lost for some reason..

the ONLY TWO car washes i have are Pinnacle Body Shampoo, AND CarWash which has some WAX additive.

According to previous posts, Punnacle Body Shampoo is too harsh to use (dont see why) and the car wash with WAX additive will not allow the SG to bong to PREVIOUS 4 layers.. I HAVE NO CARNUBA on the car yet.. I just want to keep layering the Klasse this weekend..

SO.. being that you guys recommend me using the car wash WITH WAX additive, HOW DO I REMOVE the wax that will cover my car once i have washed it WITH the car wash with WAX additive...

Please stop confusing me..

LOL, sorry about that.

Whatever the car wash WITH wax additive added to your car isn't going to be that much. In fact, it's probably around the same level as that of a carnauba based QD. Although the bottle may state otherwise, it will only help replenish an existing carnauba layer..... if even that. I've used those wax-added car washes and they certainly do not add a meaningful amount of wax on your car.

If it's been a few days or more since you've used the car wash with wax additive, I wouldn't worry about it. Just follow the same instructions as my last post and you won't have any bonding problems.

Who recommended you using the car wash with wax additive? Just don't use it on days when you plan on adding an SG layer. On days that you plan on adding SG, just use Pinnacle.

I think what BradB meant when he said that Pinnacle Body Shampoo is too harsh is that it's tough on a regular waxed car. For instance, I shouldn't use Pinnacle Body Shampoo on my black bimmer because the only thing currently protecting it is Souveran. PBS will pretty much strip off most of the Souveran. However, on an SG'd car with no carnauba topper, it will work fine.

ahhhhh.. alright.. now i got you.. why couldnt u have told me that in the first place. I was under the impression that PBWS will remove SG..

EDIT: What car wash is safe on carnuba? I heard a lot about GC car wash, but have been unable to find it locally.

Phew!! Glad we're on the same page now!

I'm not sure which car washes strip the least amount of carnauba wax. According to what I've read here, P21S seems like a good choice. I would say that the key is to make sure you use a light mixture of the soap and don't let the suds sit on your car for too long. Soap down one panel at a time and rinse off immediately.
