SFX1 vs DACP

I'm wondering the same thing. The descrption of SFX-1 suggests that it's pretty aggressive though:

Use SFX-1 to cut and buff 1200 grit sanding marks, heavy swirl marks, surface scratches, orange peel and severe oxidation.

Dual Action Cleaner/Polish's (DACP) Moderate abrasive power removes light to medium contamination, swirl marks, water spots and paint stains.

DACP is more expensive too. :D

sfx-1's description sounds like a rubbing compound. I have the 3-step sfx polishes but have yet to use number 1. Sfx-2 usually gets out most swirl.

I would guess that DACP's aggressiveness is between sfx-1 and sfx-2.

I agree. If SFX-2 is after SFX-1, then the description below describes SFX-1 as a compounding agent. :D

SONÜS ENHANCE (SFX-2) is a buffered swirl-mark reducer and gloss-enhancing polish. Use SONÜS SFX-2 to restore full gloss after compounding or to remove fine scratches, swirl-marks or light oxidation.

SFX-2 would be more like Meguiar's #80 Speed Glaze.

I like the sonus polishes, merci, but I'm afraid to use sfx-1 since it sounds too harsh. I think there should have been an sfx-1.5 with the same aggressiveness as DACP since DACP is very effective and is a must have in an autopian's arsenal. But maybe I'm mistaken and DACP and sfx-1 are equal. I know DavidB can answer this question for us.

SFX 1 is more abrasive . . . much like 1Z UPP. The consistency is gritty and breaks down quickly. SFX 1 is not that harsh . . . use with a PC or rotary is very predictable.
