SF Bay Area, can I get a in person opinion?

I was looking at the hood of my Subaru and I still see these millions of tiny pinholes. The car's about 3 months old, but I remember seeing them from purchase.

I was wondering if anyone knowledgeable on Autopia could possibly meet with me (or the other way around) in order to get an opinion. If you're a detailing service, then I'd be happy to part with $20 to get an opinion from someone who doesn't consider "paint on car" the qualifier for a good paint condition.

I live in Campbell, CA.

Why not take it to a body shop or two and ask if they'll have a quick look. An experienced painter will prolly be able to tell you immediately.

Sounds more like a paint problem than a detailing problem. Might as well take it to someone who knows paint.

I thought that too. What I'm looking for is more of a personal opinion. Auto shops are used to dealing with the average car owner and most times are average car owners themselves. I always get the person who can't see it from 10 ft. away so... "it's not that bad!"

What I want is an Autopian opinion. Also, a body shop is going to not be the most neutral of opinon. "Yes" if they need the money/work, and "No" if they're too busy.

I *might* be going down to my buddy's house on Saturday to do some detailing and he lives in Saratoga. I'll check with him to make sure it's cool and let you know if that's what we end up doing. What kinda Subie is it?

The WRX is worthy :bow lol.. was just curious cuz we have a pearlridge blue Forester and the paint is a bit soft with some stone chips but doesn’t have what you describe.
