Setting up for Detailing

We are setting up an area for detailing within a dealership. I have been looking at steam cleaners but have never used one. Are they able to clean upholstery and carpets without extraction, seems impossible to me. Any recommendations are welcome. We need something durable for the shop floor.

Thanks, Dave

Umm what??? Why would you even want to?? If you steam clean the upholstry you going to want to extract the water.. It dosen't even make sense to me why you would only do half the job.

Mytee makes some awesome extractors. From the budget minded to a full out cleaning machine. I personally use the Mytee Grand Prix HP100 Works awesome. But not really for the light pockets. The HP60 is a good choice for alot of detailers.

Do a search in your local area and see if you have a business that sells carpet cleaning extractors. Best to buy locally if you can in case you have any problems. I would say buy a machine with a minimum of 100 psi.

Jakerooni, It's not that I want to clean without extraction but there are steam cleaners without extraction built in. I can't see how they can remove dirt. We just want something that won't soak everthing, winters are cold here and space limits the number of vehicles kept in the shop. Drying time is important.
