Service request form. Your thoughts?

Other than changing "New Page 1" which I'm sure you're going to do (had to mention it just in case)...

-Overspray...you might want to put something in parentheses to tell them what it is. Many might not know.

-Condition...a brief description of what denotes for an excellent paint finish...Also, maybe break it down to interior and exterior condition.

-ServicesThe logisitics of each service I assume are listed on the home page?

I'm just giving suggestions...Overall, very good idea, especially with the web and its popularity now.

That is a great idea, would you mind if I "borrowed" the idea, not really the format, just the idea and some of the fields, since i just completed my newest ad gimick (my truck) i am hoping that there will be more traffic to the site, and this is a way to get the folks scheduled faster.

The idea of the web-based form is a good one. Personally I don't think that most people have a clue about overspray, paint condition, or even the overall condition of their car. I certainly know that I look at a cars finish much differently since I have been involved with this board. I would guess that most people just know their car doesn't look as good as it once did. GSRstilez made a good point about explaining what specific terms mean. Obviously this information will be useful to at least get an idea of what the customers knowledge and expectations are. I mean if they think the paint's condition is excellent and when you see it it's swirled badly, it would be a good thing to point this out to them beforehand so you can show them afterwards just what a difference the detail made. We all have seen the amazing work you have done on some cars. Market it to it's fullest!

Thanks for the suggestions. I may also ask on the form when the last time the car was waxed/detailed. That alone should give me a pretty good indication of the condition.

I'll probably drop the part about overspray, even if I define it, most people probably still won't understand what it is.

You could replace it with: tree sap, tar or paint marks.

Things 'joe average' might understand, overspray or swirl marks might not mean anything to him.

A great marketing idea, I wish you luck with it

Scott, you may want to ask color, that in and of itself can give you an idea of what you may or may not have to deal with......

asking many owners the condition of their paint is highly subjective and not likely to offer much insight into what lays ahead for Scott!

How 'bout:

How often is the car washed?

Last time car was polished/waxed?

Scratches?

Children on board?

Meguiar's used to have an on-line form you could fill out and they would send you a "presciption" thru the mail for your car, climate and conditions. If that is still around, it sure would give some addtional questions you could ask...
