Selling the Max...how much should I ask? (specs inside)

If it were me i'd put it up for 3.5-4k. This way you give yourself and the buyer a little wiggle room to compromise a price.



I do understand your reasons for selling it gas mileage/high mileage, but I think your next car is definately a downgrade, especially a ZX2. Don't take it personal, just my own opinion.



Have you checked reliability on these two vehicles? Even though you might think your saving yourself money, on fuel mileage and insurance, you might make it up in repairs, espically if a used car. At least with your Maxima you have everything under control, unless your having continous problems which is a completely different story.



btw..you will definately miss a light colored car after a couple weeks with a darker color...that reminds I need to S+W my black car...its a never ending battle :nervous:

He saved me from typing the very same thing. Be careful in your decision. I know you are anxious for a new car but do not make a mistake by being TOO anxious.
 
As I said before, my brother is a Ford mechanic, and he had nothing negative to say about ZX2s. I also asked two mechanics today that work for an independent shop, and they said that they "don't see many ZX2s, so that must be a good sign".



I know that the ZX2 will be a downgrade from the Maxima. I'm losing 60HP with that car, but that's just something I'll learn to live with. This car is just meant to be transportation until I graduate with my bachelor's degree in 2007.
 
Your brother is a Ford mechanic? An older brother? I never remember you saying anything other than about your younger brother you went fishing with.
 
Yes my older brother is a Ford mechanic. I don't have any other siblings. :nixweiss

I went fishing a couple weekends ago with my older brother...maybe that's what you're talking about?
