Hi,

I'm getting ready to sell my 2005 Nissan XTERRA. Unfortunately, it's black, and on a recent ski trip, I made the mistake of brushing snow/ice off the hood with my gloves, leaving scratches everywhere! :hairpull Any suggestions on how/where to find a pro detailer in Orange County, CA, who can remove the scratches and ultra-detail the whole vehicle and approximate cost? Any advice appreciated! Thanks! :nixweiss

Just curious.....how bad are the scratches? If is just from your gloves and snow they should be pretty easy to tackle. Do you have any photos?

Generally, when I am doing an exterior, I charge about $140-170 but that is a full monte treatment of wash/clay/polish and seal.

I do my detailing on the side and I am from the San Bernardino area. Here is some of my work for your consideration.

I don't want to step on Five O's toes since he does excellent work, but just to give you another option, I'm in the Los Angeles area and service customers in Orange County and Ventura County.

My rate ranges from $250 to $400 for a complete buffout and restoration. I focus on "taking your paint to it's maximum potential" and making it as flawless and defect free as possible. The perceived value of your truck will jump dramatically when I'm done with it. I can offer a free evaluation including an on the spot sample on your car of just how much improvement can be expected.

For midsize to SUV's I spend on average of 8 to 10 hours, although I charge by the job, and not by hours.

If I spend 10 hours on your car, 9 hours will be spent restoring the paint, and 45 minutes to 1 hour will be spent on the interior. That time will include teaching you if you are so inclined.

Wow, great work. I might have to come to you after I get my car fixed at a body shop. Although I try to keep my paint in excellent shape, there are some things that even my PC w/ Menzerna PG won't get out. And after hearing some stories of body shop buffing, I doubt my little PC would be capable of removing such swirls. At this point, I am expecting holograms and swirls when I pick her up. So I might just call on your services.
