Seat cleaning on my winter beater "Luda"

Rasky's Auto Detailing
So I inherited this car from the in-laws last April while I waited to take delivery of my new car. I was supposed to sell it when I was done but decided to keep it as a winter beater instead. However, it needed some serious cleaning or I was going to go crazy driving it. The car was driven by my brother in-laws all through high school and into college. They lived down a gravel road and one worked construction as well.

I took these pics quite a while ago and forgot to post them...Gina's recent interior thread made me think of them as it was her tip on keeping the "wicking" under control helped me a lot on these seats. Thanks Gina! :2thumbs:

Nice tip for sure... What did you personally do to accelerate the dry tim?

Placed my air movers on them and had them sitting in the sun.

Cleaning was done by pre-treating with cleaner, Mytee, upholstery brush, and some towels.

Did you need to spiff them after they were dry?

Looks nice by the way. Most detailers are lost when it comes to hard hit interiors, but because you have lots of experience doing them, it obviously pays off!

Nope. That's how they looked after they dried, which only took about 45 minutes. I went over them several times though with the Mytee and scrubbed them with dry towels until they were clean.

Now if I could just keep the dang rust from falling on them every-time I open the sunroof! :D

I did more trashed interiors than I can to admit back in the day.....of course the way they had us cleaning cars back then is not something one really posts publicly!
