Searching for linear logic, but none to be found :( ---just need to vent

Well it sounds like it`s definitely time for change. I hope you get a explanation of why it happened. That being said I was in the science field as lab tech. I was very proficient at my job so they would double my work load. After many professional conversations about what was going on and nothing changing I stopped stressing about it. Pretty much my give a damn was busted lol.

People who know me know that I am not like that. Long story short that is when we were considering moving north and I started contemplating doing my own thing. So that`s what I did. Financially it`s been a bit tough but even my wife sees how happy I am.

Oh and when I left the job they were stunned and had to have 2 people cover my work. A lot of labs were upset because my replacements were sloppy.

Sorry for the rant but I truly hope you get it figured out.

Sigh...IMO that says more about the people who interpret it that way than it does about your command of English.
 
That really sucks man. Sorry to hear about it. Sounds like office politics. - I`ve never been a "kiss the ring" type person at any of my jobs and I`ve gotten passed over for countless promotions and positions because of it, IMO.

At one of my old jobs when I was about 20, I sat down with my supervisor after finding out someone else was getting a full-time position over me; went over my performance vs. theirs and had the reviews to back it up. I told him if I got passed over for this job I would be looking for employment elsewhere and he said flat out - "I`m sorry you feel that way. Unfortunately you`re expendable, so do what you have to do." I went out and found a job the next week and never looked back. He was right, the building didn`t burn down, I was fine, and the world kept turning.

20 Year old me was offended and shocked, but current me kind of appreciates it because it made me realize that no one is going to look after your own skin better than you will. I gave up on relying on companies and management to just do the right or the smart thing and I`m more equipped to deal with the workforce because of it, plus I have kind of a chip on my shoulder over the whole thing. I`d certainly hope it doesn`t come to that for you.

yea they no longer randomly invite me to the `town hall meetings` or `focus groups` because I advised the moderator how his script was invalid and the methodology was wrong (after the meeting of course) and I am that guy who asks the questions nobody else wants to because I have the data (compiled and analyzed myself) to back up my side of the argument

I`m finding temporary solace in that this person simply overlooked some parameter and this will be resolved Monday.
 
My sister worked for an insurance company and was working 70+ hrs a week doing the job of like 4-6 people. And when she quit it was like all hell broke loose

Even if they overlooked it, I`m sure they got your email, and them being in a "management" position should take initiative to address their mistake (if that`s really what it is). Just don`t count on them doing "the right thing" and realize that they`ll continue with or without you, just like you can go on with or without them. When I switched my mindset to that and just saw my employer as a tool to feed my Detailing gig , things were so much easier and I was no longer worried about stepping up to save the account manager`s behind when things got hairy with customers. I realized that those that were doing barely enough were getting treated better than I was even though I did way more and was able to work unsupervised .

well I was hoping for this m-f setup (the work from home was just a bonus) so I could actually start my mini distributor Poorboy`s empire but we`ll see how this plays out

needless to say I am really in need of a sunny vacation now and glad I have a go mango hellcat to play with this weekend

well if you are working at home how will they know if you are working m-f ? My phone service often fails on weekends :D

So i`m not the only one thinking that? haha... The west coast needs representation!! (and our products faster?)

I feel you, Brandt. Often, my peer and I wonder why they (management) make the decisions they make, since they don`t make any sense. We jokingly think Bizarro World.
