Sealents that claim to last FOREVER with one application?

just wondering what this false product costs and if its dealer installed or what?
Dont know how much this particular product costs, but usually dealer installed paint protection starts at $1K and goes all the way up to $2500 depending on how much they can take the customer for, not even based on the size. The funny thing is people pay it. And even more amazing is most think this crap works (even the salesmen), its all in the head like most other things. All you have to do is tell them it does it and its the best and bam it really is the best and it really does last 5years. Its a lot like other detailing products, just others offer different reasons to use theirs and usually it is partly true, but only partly and still really damn similar to the competing product. But hey, when you think about it, that is with damn near everything with an alternative.

Back to the actual products that last forever, I work at a dealer and "install" a product called Xylon and it adds nothing to the finish (no depth, no wetness, no slickness) and it doesn't make water bead any better than bare paint and when one came back after 6 months for a wash, there was absolutely no beading or slickness and it looked like crap. But, the clear coat wasn't failing and that is what the claim is based on. You cant physically prove it is or isn't there 100%, only that it isnt the same as when it was first put on, but it doesn't claim it will look the same. My point is its crap, but there is no way to prove it doesn't do what it claims and those who buy it believe its good and that is all they need to do is believe it is.
Wow, its late...
