sealant that slightly fills...

Holden_C04- Ah, OK. Must act different on that than it does on paint. Thanks for explaining. On *paint*, I sometimes see light marring *better* after applying the Klasse twins than I did before!

..this is for a wash and wax though, not a wash, polish, wax.

Oh, OK...sorry, I misunderstood.

Is 106 a sealant?

No, no...it's a polish. NSXTASY was teasin' based on some stuff that went on here a while back...don't take him seriously.

This looks like the standard "jap glass coat". Will sheet water like crazy even after 2 years. Go to you tube and search for "g'zox" and you will get many videos of different glass coats.

Gzox looks to be a coating similar in concept to Optimum coating. What is the availability of Gzox is the US?

The application is radically different but yes, it appears to be a coating with actual thickness instead of a sealant that bonds.

From my limited experience, I have found that my Chemical Guy's M-Seal fills VERY WELL. Once it wears off you can see the marring and RIDS. But after application is looks like a mirror, no RIDS or marring in sight.

We recommend you wash your car at least once a month, and use plain water or G'ZOX® Armor GlazCoat™ Maintenance Shampoo. Periodic washing will ensure the integrity and appearance of your G'ZOX® Armor GlazCoat™.(end quote)

Most of these products don't reccomend using traditional carwashes-I wonder why.

At over $1000 for an application I'll pass:geez

Why use a sealant that fills? On a black car, you will have wash scratches far before the sealant wears away. I recommend a high quality carnauba wax like Zymol and polish the car several times a year, and apply several coats of wax. Best of luck to you, black cars are difficult to keep perfect.

its not for my car, but rather client cars who dont want to pony up for polishing every few months, or dont care about massive amounts of swirling. I guess I will just pick up some NXT because I have used V.1 in the past with good results in regards to filling.

^^I had a client like that too. I was looking at Prima Amigo and Prima (something) for that. Richard did a review on a bunch of the Prima fillers on his site. My client eventually gave in to my recommendation of getting a full detail so I never looked further...

I have that issue with a black car as well. The place he takes it to be washed swirls it up. Just not worth it to him to have me go hard into the paint every couple of months if he can't find a better place to have it washed. I'd do it but I'm not taking any more wash customers. Doing too many details.
