Seal your glass for up to 30k miles with Gtechniq G1!

Can I ask what the reason would be for this treatment?

Is this for those that live in heavy rain areas or is this something that would keep the glass from getting waterspots or stay cleaner longer?

Thanks

Gtechniq G1 will sheet water up to 30,000 miles including wiper use, so it really benefits anybody who wants better vision if they live anywhere where it rains.

Additionally it is said to provide scratch resistance against wiper usage (although you probably won't use them) as well as clean easier.

My car was covered in bugs from the ride home and they cleaned away easily from the window with minimal effort.

This product and the whole Gtechniq line look every good. I shall be buying the whole line as soon as i can

Very nice, I'm looking forward to it holding up on the wiper area. If it lasts at least half of the 30,000 miles claim I'll be pretty happy!

Looks promising in the bug department. I hate scrubbing bugs.

So far this has been the biggest improvement. In my 120 miles (240 round trip) of highway driving, Florida's tropical bugs reek havoc on my windshield. Since applying, I have not had to 'clean' my windshield. Several strong rain showers and a sweep of the wipers has them pretty much bug free!!! :rockon

I'm at 2 months right now and there has been ZERO change, even in the wiper use department. I have been purposely using them to accelerate wear but it hasn't worked so far!

I finally got my order in on Tuesday so I'll be using this on my truck and mom's car this weekend.

Todd,
I just saw your newest update video and I will say I am very impressed.

I had applied this to the Subaru I opticoated last month. So far so good. Since the car was new I did not use the Polish first. Did you apply it and work it in by hand? Looks like a hand pad you poured it on but the clarification pictures may have been after DA? That alot of polishing by hand otherwise

Signed-Lazy :)

I applied the polish by hand. Think of it more as a pre-cleaner. Just made overlapping passes until it was near clear. It took maybe 3 minutes per side, if that.

Todd,

I have some really good glass cleaner and polish. Do you think those would be adequate before applying G1?

Anyone have tips on which type of product to use to clean glass treated with G1? I was thinking something like Stoners or another non abrasive will be gentle.

Thanks, Todd! Your commitment to testing and keeping us informed on the results of said tests is second to none. I feel must better about buying a product (okay, more realistically products) that you have tested and reviewed.

In short, :yourrock
