Hey guys...forgive me if this is posted somewhere else.....

The plastic display screen of my car stereo has tons of tiny scratches....my fingernail doesn't catch in them....is there a product I could use to polish these out?

Thanks in advance

Melissa

Okay guys....I know there are literally dozens of products available....guess I would like some recommendations for a product that is user friendly and can be used by hand....and is good for stereo display screens

Thanks again

Melissa

I've used TR-3 polish to get out scratches from plastics to watch faces. Not a common product that you'll see n shelves, but I got a tin of it at Advanced Auto Parts once. It's meant for car paint, and is pretty much just like Liquid Glass. I don't like to use it on my vehicles unless I'm trying to spot rub out a scratch, because its so damn abrasive. Sometimes I wonder if it's even really an abrasive in it,, or some sort of solvent like lacquer thinner... It almost smells like it. I mainly use it to polish headlights, get light scratches out from plastic trim or faces, and to restore really old and weathered paint. When you use it on paint you will most definitely see the pad turn the color of your car easily, even by hand. That's how strong this stuff is. Now you know why I mainly keep it for plastics or really bad paint. I usually try using it before resorting to other polishes or compounds.
