sammy004- A lot of it depends on the severity of the scratches. I used a 2,500 sanding block on some repainted areas of my S8 and it left damage/scratches. I was able to get the sanding marks out with 3M PI-III RC (05933) *by hand*. It wasn't perfect, and I had to follow up with the PC/Cyclo to be satisfied, but I was able to get the "sanding scratches" sort of marring out. In areas where I didn't bother experimenting, the 05933 took them out fine by Cyclo, fast by rotary (I didn't try the PC). I'm a little surprised the #2 didn't get them out, it's pretty aggressive stuff when used on b/c (which I'm assuming you have there). Maybe you oughta try a different sanding media next time. The Meg's Unigrit stuff works great, a lot better than the 3M papers (at least for me).
