Scott Peterson Found Guilty

That almost makes up for the screwed up OJ verdict. I hope he enjoys the 'pound you in the ass' federal prison that they are going to send him to till they flip the switch on him.

What Iam hearing on the TV is that he might get the death pently, at the bare least life.

Hey FUZZ

Is not OJ living down your way these days?

I know that some of you here may or may not know of this case but here is a guy that killed his pregnant wife and then dumps her in the SF bay, only for her and the fetus to wash ashore 2 months later.

I feel so great today that our count system did the right thing.

Oh don't worry, I know more than I care to. My wife has been glued to the case since it started and it's even conceivable she knows more than the defense attorney. :brick

SGO

I know what you mean so have I it really hit home for me as I lived only a few miles from Modesto as a kid and know a lot of people there. I'm just glad for the family and that our court system worked the right way

I was afraid that he would be found not guilty because of all the issues that came up with the jurors being dismissed, but I'm glad he's going to get what's coming to him.

Interesting... I forgot to mention my wife is from Madera and knows alot of people there too. :)

Here in SLC we have almost the same kind of thing go on. This guy killed his wife and buried her at the land fill. I think it took them about 3-4 weeks to find her.

I think he is down in Miami or something, isn't he? I haven't seen any white Broncos with bloody hand prints on them driving around up here lately, so I'm sure he must live down south. :lol

His reaction to the guilty verdict didn't seem to upset him at all...if he gets the death penalty-he'll be on death row and kept in isolation, if he gets life w/out parole he will be in general population. I hope he gets life w/out parole because the prisoners will "have" their way w/him. Especailly the payback for killing of an unborn! :ticked

I'm sure the prosecutor will ask for the death penalty (I hope) but life in prison without opportunity for parole would also be fitting. Pretty common knowledge that people (men) who abuse/kill the elderly/children have a real hard time in prison.

He'll be a pass-around b**ch in no time ... for a long, long time.

Explain to me again why we don't torture people in the US?

I think it would be much more effective than goin on death row and having a quick death ultimately. I think if we threw in a little Hammurabi's Code action (Eye for an Eye, Tooth for a Tooth) in there, the legal system would scare more people from doing wrong.

Most high profile cases like the one you have here get "special" placement in the prison system. He won't be in general population for a loooong time (if ever) if he is sentenced to life without parole. He'll actually have it pretty "nice" as far as prison goes. He might be someone's special friend, but I doubt he'd ever see gen pop. Too much liability for the state. I worked in a jail and a state pen. during a majority of my college years, and I've seen it happen too many times. These criminals who wind up as lifers have it pretty decent (as much as you can in a prison remember), especially if there's a lot of media attention on their case. However, I have seen people "gotten to" even in these "protected" environments. Just depends on how bad somebody wants to get him I suppose. I can say from experience that the inmate/convict world is very, very different from what most of us know. I have personally seen many things that I wouldn't believe had I not seen them myself. It's literally a different world.

My prayers go out to the victim's family.

my neighbor works as a Corrections Officer in NYS & he commutes to NYC to work at a maximum security prison 2 months on, one month off. Some of the stories he's told me absolutely scare me and I think I'd rather die than go to prison ....

I disagree. This is not federal crimes such as drugs or such. San Quinton is not a nice place for general population. That is why I hope he gets life w/out parole. Death sentence will be easier for him.

Give him the death sentence he still has 15 years of fighting the court system,Let him ROT in jail the rest of his life REMEMBERING what he did to his wife and unborn kid.I know he was guilty when he sold her car (and bought a truck)after 2 weeks of her missing. This story gets me sick to my stomach I can't talk about it any longer

I'm not saying that is the way it will go down for the guy, but I have seen it happen. Unless you've been there and seen it, you really don't know what goes on in the prison system. Find a veteran of the prison system, state or federal, and ask them what goes on when a high profile convict comes in. You can't just put them out in general population...it doesn't work like that. The state has a responsibility to see to the welfare of the people in it's prison system. I'm not saying San Quentin is a nice place, but I think this guy will have some sort of "protected" living. Most likely he will have his own living quarters, where he will be on constant video surveillance. Prison is a bad place, and I definitely wouldn't want to be there(as a resident), but a lot of the time, the convicts have it a lot better than you think they do. Just keep that in mind.

When I use to live in CA, there was a little place called Folsom Prison not to far from my place. I new some guards who worked there, there was some shit going on all the time. He will not survive there in general population, that is if they send him there. LOL
