Scary I30 (56k warning lots of pics)...

Clean Dean

Keep it clean !!!
You have to love these !!! The vehicle was accurately described by the owner as being in “need” of a good detailing after 170k miles. Both inside and out this car was a textbook example of how not to maintain your car. The black exterior clear-coated paint was moderately to severely damaged on every panel. The claybar I used on the car was black and gritty after a pass over the surface, and the car was ready for a heavy cut with Hi-Temps Heavy Cut Leveler. Luckily it was aggressive enough to cut into the unknown foreign substance on the clear near the a-pilar and sunroof. Unfortunately, the car had other areas which another unknown substances ate through the clear and base coat right down to the primer (ex. rear quarter). I followed the cutting phase with a buff with optimum polish and a blue foam pad. Sealed with Meguiars #21.

Interior was pretty dreadful !!! It took me about an extra 30 minutes than a usual detail to clean this monster up. The air compressor was working overtime today to blast out dust, dirt, and debris from just about every area known to man inside this car. Overall the interior looked very presentable after the detail was completed. I hope, but do not anticipate that this car will be kept in this condition to long. Makes you appreciate the customers who utilize your services to maintain their vehicles on a more regular basis.

Enjoy …

That is dreadful....I hope they were embarassed about that. I've never seen a car so poorly taken care of....Most infiniti buyers at least take the time to wash their car enough that there isnt substances breaking through their paint!

Excellent turnaround...those inside pics were awful...I am not sure they could read the display panel...

Great job!!!!

Great turn around. :bigups
The owner should be ashamed to let a car like that get to that state.

I agree!!! That interior...uggghhh! Who the hell could stand to drive it like that?!?

I can't stand to drive mine with a little dirt on the floor mats...let alone crumbs and stuff all over everything.

All I can say is you definately improved the look of that car! Vary nicely done man!

:bigups :bigups

Great job Dean! It always amazes me how some people let their cars get into that kind of shape. Like you said unfortunately the next time you go do their car it'll probably look the same way again.

It's shocking how people will let their cars get like that. Very nice job on the exterior, but I think I'm most impressed with the interior. Great job!

Holy crap, that was in bad shape. What the hell fell on that roof? Scary...

Great job to bring it back! I guess he was looking to sell it! ;o)

CD

The work is great...love it when I can work on cars like this and have the time to do the same thing....what's more impressive to me is the pics and how well you showed the before and afters....I see pics posted here all the time but the pics really don't do any justice to what really happened....I'm in that boat.

Again nice work!

Rich189,

I am from Howell (Monmouth County)NJ . Been detailing professionally since 2000, but have not been on DC for a while. Google search Like New Auto Detailing, it will tell you a little about my little niche business.

That was a rolling biohazard !!!! I have a sister-inlaw that has a black Q45 that the interior was 3 times worse ( Kids juice and melted icecream and god knows what ever had stuff growing out of it) Needless to say I wasnot and will not touch it. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some people drive nasty ass cars. I am amazed how people can drive like that. I mean what is all that crap on the transmission lever. It would take no effort just to brush that off.

You did a great job bringing that thing back from where it was. I hope you got hazard pay.
