Saw Aquadry WASH SPONGE today at Wally World.. Anyone?

Saw a new product from Aquadry today, a soft blue sponge, looks a lot like a seasponge except it's cut into a rectangle. I popped the plastic open and it's very soft, and one side is like a waffle-weave construction, other is flat.

It's $2 and some change, anyone seen it and/or picked it up? Curious on any thoughts..

Yep, I bought one and will try it out within the next couple days. Looks pretty cool. Anyone else like theirs?

It's the flat construction part that bothers me about sponges in general.

If this sponge is somehow constructed differently than other sponges so that it does not cause damage during washing, that's GREAT - I'd buy one.

But as far as I know, it's not the material of the sponge that is the problem (remember, we wax with sponges all the time), but it is the structure/shape of the sponge material, since we all know that sponge washing (with real sea sponges seeming to be the exception) tends to cause scratches.

Hey, that's interesting.

Are you saying that it is safe to wash with sea sponges?

update: a few days later I returned it; after getting wet it got rather heavy and felt a little firmer than when just barely damp from the package. I'll be interested to hear your thoughts..

No, I am not saying it, but there are a few members that swear by it. Do a search and see.

I suppose I really should try it out someday, but I'm so happy right now with my mitt I don't know when I'd do this, if ever...

As for the Aquadry sponge.... :nixweiss

With all due respect. Returned a used $2 sponge? I wouldn't have had the nerve.

Come on its Walmart the only store where you can buy a product from another store and exchange it at Walmart:p . I don't think it was as bad as the lady I saw return a used rectal thermometer because it didn't read correctly:D ! Hey 2 dollars is 2 dollars, don't you remember the movie Better off dead with John Cusack where the paperboy is always following him to get his 2 dollars.

true blue blood...the thermometer thing is funny! And..I do know that movie...one of my favorites!

Ya know the difference between a rectal thermometer and an oral thermometer?

The taste!
