Hey guys what's up?

Here at work in the nice air-conditioned work garage, doing an all out detail on my friend's and my car.

It's been while (I've been detailing all summer in spurts) so it'll be cool. Just like old times. :xyxthumbs

Ah Steve! Welcome back (or back from Paris) :)

My detailing for today was to remove Zaino Z1/Z2 from the 1999 dark blue corolla. Its been sitting on the car since Thursday morning (along with some old Z2 for the glass (side windows.)) Most of it came off in a breeze with a Charisma, some harder spots (suspected dried Z6 from moistening the applicator pads (sticking with dry from now one or distilled water) were cleaned up during the Z6 QD.

Z6'd the glass, and voila, nice clean and shiny corolla. The digital camera is in Vegas with my brother; so no pictures today (haha I just noticed I am a picture whore lol.)

Showered, shaved, and got dressed, went out and got my hair cut, picked up dry cleaning, and now I am home, surfing away at Autopia and waiting for my FedEx package (750 .177 match grade pellets and 1500 BB's for my airgun, gotta perfect my shooting skills so I can get expert on the range.)

No detailing today or tomorrow, rain will be coming soon, and currently it is 79 degrees with 79% humidity.

Thank goodness for the dehumidfier and air filter in the garage.

Thats it for this weekend,

Jason

today's detailing starts in about 3 hours (when the heat dies down more) I'm washing two cars (mine/my wife's) then putting a coat of S100 topper on mine, and polishing/zainoing the wife's.

Saturday Detailing Check In? Damn, it's been AGES since we've had one of those. Glad to see an OG Autopian reviving it. :up

What's next.... the return of FLONI??? :lol

Just got back from vacation yesterday from the Jersey shore (Wildwood) with the SC430 and I'm tired as hell. Good thing I brought my car cover!

I need to schedule time to remove the remaining swirls on it, but not this Saturday.

Hope everyone else gets something accomplished today!

Gee, maybe 93LSCOUPE will be busy! I sent him a boatload of polishes to try!!!

Regards,

Deanski

Sounds like an old tradition has been revived.

I went over my Silverado with Spray & Wipe and then EX'd it again. Used Bold n Bright on the tires, EX on the chrome wheels, EX on the windows and painted stuff under the hood. Vac'd the interior, Ex'd the door jams.

Taking the dog for a ride to the park and then we'll go to the monthly Cruise thingeee and shot the bull with all the local car guys.

I call that a pretty nice day while the wife is out of town.

Tomorrow I'm going to take out the grill shell and get rid of the bugs behind it and those enmeshed in it. Probably paint it while I have it out as there are several rock chips.

well im a n00b so this is new to me :P

but i did a 2003 tibby today, i posted a picture in another post, it came out pretty nice

Hey, Steve! I've been spreading the word about our AIO/SG-on-black-trim regimen :xyxthumbs Can't beat a climate-controlled garage, huh? At least until the electric bill comes!

Just finished washing the MPV and putting another coat of SG on the roof. Last year's SG treatment (on that panel) was still BEADING (not even sheeting yet!) when I redid it- 14 months since its last coat of SG, 11 months since its last carnauba topper.

Guess I might Quik Shine the XJS tomorrow. If I EVER get it just right, on a day without rain, when I have some time, I wanna take a few pics of it and finally get some car shots posted here.

The only detailing I get to do this weekend is the master bedroom. We are doing a full patching, masking, painting and window treating of it.

Well, 14 hours of detailing later (lunch and dinner) we are done with two cars. Inside and out, engine and all. Lexol, 303, plexis, stoners, klasse twins and pinnacle, EFHI+fabric cleaner.

Good think I have a key to work ;)

whew, long day

It rained today, but it cleared up and dried out enough by early evening (7 PM-ish) and my car still looked good enough that I spent a grand total of about 15 minutes QDing it and cleaning the exterior windows.

:lol

Spent 5 hours on JUST the exterior/wheels of my mothers 2003 Audi A4...

Did a dawn wash, Meguiars glaze, and a topper of #26... all with my Porter Cable that I picked up today (just had to experiment with it) ;)

Needless to say, I'm addicted now to the PC, and the Audi looks showroom. I can't believe how many "specs" of black dirt/tar that there were on the lower panels of the car... unreal.

Pics will be up in 10 mins :D

Ok so I lied... 15 mins

I was going to do my first claying and then follow up with a long needed SMR-GEPC-carbon treatment but alas...my car won't start! ignition switch finally bit the dust.

I've been working on the beater. 92 Dodge Stealth, took Jngr's advice as it is white and I've put 3 coats of PUPP on it. Finally looking decent for the first time in its life.
