Sam's Club MF's, what a bargain!

I just picked up 30 16x16 for $15.

They have 2 brands, one was HomeTex and the other was Detailers choice.

The homtex ones are better, softer, thicker and no tag. The other brand was a close 2nd. Both are a light blue color.

They are both made in China.

Homtex was more expensive. 18 for $10 and the others were 12 for $5

I bought a package of each, so I am set for a while.

Better deal was at my local Sam's this week, $4.41 for 12 of them, yellow or blue, same size. Picked up 10 packages, I'm good to go for years.

Yea, I was rounding the price up. They were 4.41 for 12 on the blue ones. The 18 pack for about $10 are better towels.

yeah, I use the detailers choice blue MF for windows only, I have a butt load of the yellow ones which aren't near as good as the blue one, although I just ordered 50 new plush MF's from WCD for wax removal only. Now I am fully color coordinated.

Nice deal, I think we are still waiting for the Sams to open here in Boise. I found a pack of 8 detailers choice towels for 5$ last night at wally's.

The Sam's in Niagara Falls Ny has 16 for $4.81. They are yellow and 16 x 16. I didn't see any blue ones.I purchased 3 packs. Thats 48 towels for $14.43. It works out to 30 cents a towel.:woot:

Seems like the prices and package size varies from store to store.

The yellow, $4.81 are a great deal. They are soft and work great. I bought 2 packs to add th the collection. You can't go wrong with these.

I'm gonna have to check out my sams to see if they've got the new blue ones in. All they've had are the yellow ones all the times I've been there.

I was at sam's yesterday and couldn't find any MF towels.

What section are they located?

Thanks

With the other automotive stuff.... look for pressure washers, jacks, creepers, turtle wax and armor all, etc.

I got two bags of them. You can't beat the price. I washed them twice before I used them to ensure they were clean. Once I was finished, ran them through a load, and dryed them on low heat. I fold them up and keep them in a ziplock baggie.

Should they be washed first?

I bought 2 different brands, I played with a towel of each for a little while and noticed lint all over me. Does washing get the lint out?

Usually it's a good idea to wash them if for no other reason than getting whatever contaminants may have infected the towels from sitting on the shelf or during transit. :xyxthumbs

just got back from sam's club (got one day pass from the wal-mart ad paper) and bought (was hesitant at first to buy them thinking they would be pretty bad/cheap) some of the 18 blue detailers best/hometex heavy duty microfibers ($9.88), and was surprised on how plush they felt. not a bad mf by any means and for just around $.60 a piece, you can't go wrong. i may go back to get one more bag, and then i'll be set for a while! :up

This is the second time I've heard about a Sam's Club 1-day pass. However, I checked out the Wal-Mart flyer we got in the mail today and there is nothing about that in there. What am I missing??

it was on the back page in a little perforated box that you would cut out as a coupon.

Got a pack of 20, 10 blue & 10 yellow, for 20.00 cdn. at Costco. Nothing to compare to as these are the first MT that I've bought.

They seem soft enough and used them to QD some bird drop. So far so good.
