Sam's Club has Microfiber $7.98

I wondered in my spare time how long would it take for Sam's to get in on MF towels. Today I saw them gleeming gold in the automotive isle. I grabbed a few packs as my excitement grew after seeing the $7.98 price tag. These are 70-30 as the Costco towels were 80-20. You can tell a difference in the plushness of the 2 as I have new packs of both. I don't recall the Costco price but I know it was more.

Doesn't the .98 mean it is a closeout item at Sam's:(

Edging is not so hot and inspect the "melted" corners...trim both as needed. Washing twice seemed to help with vinegar/water rinse. Otherwise, a lot of MFs for the money. Still like the good stuff for the car finish steps but what a great value for basic detailing towels! (I wonder how long they will last? I got two packs anyway.)

i'm not a strong believer in this yet, but i haven't tried them. Does it say for automotive use on the package? There are a lot of products now that use microfiber technology.

Spend the money at Autofiber.com you will thank yourself. Their Pro towels are very nice and the Elites are VERY plush. Ian has a great deal now $19.95 for 5 Elites and a botle of Restore. Best of all his customer service is Top Notch.

I've been using these and even after washing them a few times I still get lint when using them on the windows. Any suggestions?

Same here, however I picked up a new batch and they don't lint as much. I just went and bought a different towel for windows.

Three washings has not really stopped them linting; linted removing some #7 from a friends motorcyle tank. Even the white/blue cheapies (70/30, 12" x12") from Wal-mart didn't do this.

The yellows are pretty absorbant but I'm not sure I will use them ANYWHERE until they stop linting...

Anyone else experiencing this?

A couple of washes helps with the lint. I've been using the Costco towels for a while and have not had any problems with them with some vinegar in the rinse. Funny cause the towels I got from Costco are 70/30.

I only use the costco yellow mfs on customer cars. I save the pakshaks and autofibers for my car, my moms, or some nice @ss sports car.

I have washedthe Sam's towels one time in Tide free and no problems with lint. I detailed my wife's car last night and they worked great.

That is funny about the Costco towels???? Mine have held up great but you can tell that the Costco towels are a bit plusher when comparing 2 new ones. I don't think there is a need to be so paticular about MF towels, in all reality you could detail cars with good Terry towels that I get form Sam's 48 to the pack. Many waxes suggest Terry towels for application and removal. It is the use of MF towels that seperate detailers from carwashes.
