Another one of my clients who I've worked with lately. I had a friend help me out on this one. This car was pretty beaten up as it just went through a cross country trip and the front clear bra had been taken off. I would start with my rotary and my friend followed me with a PC. The owner also had dogs so there were a bunch of scratches from the dogs, so I had to wetsand the back. This ~7 hour job was probably shorted by at least 2 hours. This was probably the best correction I've ever done on a vehicle. Anyways here is the process:
Exterior:
ONR Wash (apartment w/ no water source)
Clay w/ ONR Lube
SIP w/ LC purple wool (1800 RPM) ~ 5-6 minutes.
PO106FF w/ LC White (PC 6) ~7-8 minutes
RMG
M21 Sealant
Megs Hot Shine
TOL Best Dressed on Wheel Wells
303 Aerospace Protectant on Exterior Plastic
Wet Sand:
3M 2000 Grit
HTEC by hand
SIP w/ LC Purple Wool (1800 RPM) x 2-3 times.
est time ~ 5.5 hours.
Before:
Here's the clear bra residue.
Best shot I can get of swirls. Other panels were much worst:
Most of the swirls looked like this:
Scratches & Wet Sanding:
After HTEC and SIP (I should've used flash)
During Polishing (SIP)
Hazing from the wool:
Final Product:
Money Shots:
You wouldn't see this through LA pollution. For those that don't know, this is the Bay Area Sunset over looking Berkeley to the SF Bay Bridge.
I love California! Enjoy guys, comments always welcomed.
