Sampler sizes

The reason I am asking is because the cali duster contains parifin wax and I wanted to know if it would interfere with zaino? But I know one thing, there is DEFINITELY less dust on my car using zaino than using any other wax, i.e blitz, souveran, etc. Zaino is no joke!!!

every day on this beast! Drive an average of 50-75 miles a day and get <strong class='bbc'>LOTS[/b] of dust. Just make sure you use very light strokes and you should be fine. Shake frequently, and try to stay away from brake dust. I've got 2....One for the top half and one for the bottom half that gets the most brake dust and grime.

There should be no problem using a Cal duster on a Zainoed car. Some have reported scratching with the Cal duster, but I have not had any in my years of use with it. I just let the tips of the strands touch the car, that way any dirt that is up in the nap will not scratch the paint.

Showroom's tips are right on. If your worried about parrafin wax let your cali duster, sit on newspaper for a day or two.

I use and love my cali duster it works great with a QD.

Hi AcuraTL -- Glad to see you are thinking these things through. I started a thread on this exact subject a couple months ago. I suggest you do a search. :)

This brings up a topic that YoSteve and others recently brought up. We are all real helpfull and are willing to assist the next guy. We probably should make the best use of that help by searching the archives and only starting threads on matters that have not been addressed or are in need of updating.

I have used my Cali Duster for several years. It has worked very well. I double the suggestion about setting a new one on newspaper for a day or two in a warm room and letting any extra treatment bleed off of it.

There seems to be an art to everything we do with our cars. As for the Duster, just use very, very light sweeps across the finish, NEVER drop it (if you do, throw it out!) Keep it in a good protective bag and shake it out after every single use!

You should have no trouble :)

Everyone is always ready to try new products. However, picking up a quart of something you've never used before is sometimes a difficult hurdle. I've picked up a few Menz products in 16 oz sizes but they're few and far between. ADS has almost everything Megs makes in 12 oz and sampler sizes. Not much else available market-wide though that I'm aware of.

My friendly, neighborhood UPS guy just dropped of a package of Optimum samplers. A vendor had 8 oz sizes available of just about everything Optimum makes and an attractive price on a pick-any-3 sampler. I have 8 oz each of Final Polish, OP II and Poli Seal for under 20 bucks delivered, considering the current promos and free shipping that have abounded for the holidays.

I'd like to see more smaller sizes carried by vendors. I don't know the logistics, I'm sure the profit margin may be a limiting factor. I know ADS does their own packaging of Megs sample sizes, possibly prohibitive and labor intensive for some vendors. These Optimum products appear to be factory packaging. Perhaps the manufacturers need to be lobbied for this.

My thought for the day...

Samplers can be good business sense especially if you are trying to promote a new product. I wish more people did it plus the smaller sizes are great gift ideas and good for travelings. Steve, Poorboys, finally gave in and did sampler kits this year. You can get almost every product in one kit.
