Brad, I have emptied most of it. You can send me it now. Sorry, I have been recieiving so many PM's and emails from members of Autopia, I have not had the time to read them all, I have some dating back ages, I have transfered most onto the laptop so i can refer to them in the a.sa.p.



I am usually on Autopia most nights from 8 onwards. However, this is all dependant on my business / social / personal affairs.



On occasions such as today when I have taken delivery of a vechile that I consider sutible for posting, then I may be online for a few minutes anytime in the afternoon or early morning.

kind of OT, but congrats on 200 posts John. That benz is probably a nice car.. even for a lower end one... i wonder what it would cost to ship it to the US... could always use a car for the winter.
 
Freight rates vary dependant on the amount of traffic moving to that particular part of the world and distance traveled. Many shipping lines offer very attractive rates due to the volume of return traffic they have from a particular country.

I prelimary deal with UK AutoShippers Of London. There rates vary reflecting on the size and type of the vehicle. For instance a normal Bentley Arnage from my showroom to France costs £2830 + insurance. Rare and classic models are nearly double this value.A car of a lesser status as the Mercedes 260E would cost around £750-£850.



I have never to date exported to the United States Of America. But the additional mileage would naturally add to the shipping cost.



Then there is a collection charge added to each car I export. This is a fixed rate of £85 to your door. For instance lets say the car arrives in Calais and needs to be in Paris the charge is £85.



However, depending on the vendors quality of service and charges I am always looking for out the best quatations.
