I noticed some light scratches on the hood and over the rear fenders so I polished the whole car with Menzerna 106FF using a Lake Country polishing pad

Pardon my ignorance but why did you have to polish the whole car if only the hood and the rear fenders has light scratches?

That's a Texas-sized truck!!! :usa

All the Carrera needs is to loose the dealer license plate frame. :bigups I'm amazed when people leave them on such a nice car as that.

I did not even notice that as I was mesmerized by the stunning pictures and the liquid silver...

Now I see and yeah that was a bad move.

Great work and nice pictures!

It stood out to me only because I have the exact same car (minus the aftermarket exhaust and aftermarket side markers).

Really ruins the look of the car from the back IMO. Such a light car in the first place no neeed to bother reducing the weight 40 pounds. Add a supercharger instead is what I say!

The back of the Carrera looks AWESOME though with the quad exhaust and chrome tips. I think those exhaust tips are a $340 option or at least they are on the Cayman.

Wow, that M roadster and the Porsche look stunning. The rest look really good too, but those two just mesmerized me. You really have taken a shining (pun fully intended) to the JW products. Now that you've been using them for a while, do you have any additional thoughts on them?

Awesome job as always.

Great Job on all Scott!

Are you still applying AJ with a foam pad one panel at a time?

Yep. I still have the original version, have maybe 4 oz left. Not bad for a 16 oz bottle that I've used on at least 30 cars (and some of those, like the 911, have multiple applications), plus sent a 3 oz sample to aka Patrick.

Thanks for the great work and pictures scotwax ...i need to ask ....

-can you explain in details the best way to use VM, RMG? I tried them before but didn't like the result what did I do wrong :nixweiss

-am I supposed to work them in the paint or just spread the product?

-is it possible to remove defect like scratches with RMG for example?

Thanx again

ISA

These answers should be all over the board, but....

-apply VM via PC with a polishing pad, moderate pressure, speeds of 5-6 for several slow passes. RMG with a finishing pad like the blue Propel pad, moderate pressure, speed of around 4.5, work until it kind of melts into the paint.

-you can remove light defects with Vanilla Moose and a polishing pad, RMG has no defect removal beyond your pad choice. Use it to add depth and warmth, not to correct.

merci-I polished the whole car since I had never deep polished it in the last several months I had been cleaning it and I wanted to make sure the look was balanced. 106FF leaves the paint very clear and I wanted the whole car to have the same look.

Mikeyc-the owner of the S2000 also has an 800 hp Corvette (soon to be painted) and the S2000 is his daily driver. I guess he is just going to stick with bolt-ons. :nixweiss

Smoked Tails-I love the Werkstatt line. Definitely the best sealant I have used to date. Incredible wetness and gloss and durability is at least as good as Klasse SG.

DAMN! that f350 looks like something that you would find patroling nevada's area 51 - if area 51 existed that is :D you get picked up in that beast and you're never heard from again.

Scott, you are the first man who spells 'dualie' correctly!

Work is as usual!!! :bigups

My good friend Bence. Could you please change your title to "autopia spelling contest champ" :bow

Also please send notice to google

My apologizies in advance for my OT rant. :bolt

Acrylic Jett looks nice, still trying to get some.

Nice work as always, Scott. The only thing I didn't enjoy looking at was the S2000's single exhaust/muffler, which is obviously nothing to do with you.

Well...I do live in Texas! I see them all over the place here. Detailed a bunch of them too.

When you are a journalist & proof reader... Oh well...

:rofl

Good thing that my poor spelling has nothing to do with keeping those big jets in the air.

Again great job Scott. I may finally get to use some prime/AJ this friday on the beater. Do you have any experience using AJ on white?

Yeah, looks really good too. I have a diamond white Cadillac DTS in either my autopia gallery or photohost gallery that I used AJ on. Not sure which and there are about 100 pages to go through (about 1200 pics!) but you are welcome to look for it. ;)

Question. What's the difference between the original and revised?

btw, you've sold me on the JW and CK stuff. But obviously, you are the master that makes them work so well. Amazing work! :xyxthumbs
