S&W and fresh water spots

Is S&W better at removing water spots (spots that have sat on paint about 2 hours) compared to using a standard qd like meguiars or eagle one?

Probably a little better. Spray and Wipe has some cleaning ability akin to soap. Its nothing that will remove a wax, but its a little more effective than an appearance enhancing QD.
