Rusty Water

For the past week or so I’ve been having some nasty rust water due to construction. Sometimes the water runs really brown, others it’s more of a tint to the water. I’m not really sure if I should be washing my cars with it. I'm thinking that the tiny rust particles might mar, which I really don’t want. What does everyone else think?

I would find another water source to wash with, or use DP 4-in-1 or ONRWS again with another water source (even a couple of gallons of bottled water at $.89 each). If there's rust in your water supply, there's certainly other particulate.

I plan on getting the ONRWS, but I have to wait a bit to order it. It sucks that I can't wash my cars it's driving me nuts!

I do not know what that ONRWS thing is but I'd suggest you get a three or four stage water filter from Sears or even Walmart to hook up to your hose. It will give you clear and clean water and even after you are thru with that crappy water you will use it further...

I would all your city or local water company. There should never be rusty water coming into your home from construction going on.

Trust me calls have been made They just tell us to deal with it and it's safe. About once a month we get dirty water from pipe flushing as well :bawling: . Stupid city!! The water is better today (who knows for how long??).
