Rough morning! My Mazdaspeed got wrecked!

It's sad to see / hear Todd but it looks like the damage is moderate and should be repairable. The most important thing in situations like this is you're OK. Have yourself checked out by the doc and mane sure you have no underlying injuries.

Get it in a good shop and, I'm confident you know some great ones, let them perform their magic. In no time at all it'll be good as new....:bigups

PS. Have them add a few extra coats of clear for sanding and buffing....:D

I guess I missed the initial post. I am glad all is ok so now I understand the contest about the mystery car.

Todd, I'm glad you're okay. I'll reiterate what others have already said. Go get a quick exam from your doctor just to make sure you're fine and hopefully won't experience any problems in the future. If you've ever been to a chiropractor in the past you might want to have him, or her, do an exam as well. Remember you can settle the property damage claim to your auto and still leave the bodily injury claim, if there is one, open until you've been released by the medical experts. I don't know how new your car is or the extent of damage but you may look into a potential diminished value claim in your state as you'll most likely have to report the damage to your vehicle if you trade it in. I imagine it will show up on CarFax as well.

I'm feeling fine (the second day after). I spoke to a good friend about diminished value. The tricky part may be the fact we both have the same insurance carrier, so I would, in theory be filing the claim against the same company. I will speak to a friend/client who is one of the most successful lawyers (who handle these cases) in Florida and make sure I am well advised of my options.

This is what I was trying to say in my recent PM to you. I'd almost rather see your car be totaled even though that doesn't happen as easily as it used to. I don't like the thought of owning one that has been put back together. Even the best repairs won't make it the same car that it started about to be. There's the diminished value factor. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
