Rotary or PC

Looking for advice and probably will go with majority here. I have been "detailing" using the PC for about 2 years now. I detail my own cars and a few others each year. I have a black 99 Mustang GT, a red (torch red) 2008 Mustang GT and a white 4 door F-150 that I detail each year and then I clean my inlaws vehicles and a few co-workers. All in all maybe 10 a year. My PC seems to be losing some umph, and I am looking to replace it. Should I get a rotary and have somebody really work with me on the nuances of a rotary or stick with the PC. My and my wifes mustangs get taken to a few car shows each year so we try to keep them in pretty good shape. Thanks for any suggestions you may have.
 
get the flex...for your own personal use this would be fine...or the new pc with more power, not sure of the model number
 
Gee, I'm surprised there aren't a zillion "real detailers need to buy a rotary" comments. Not that *that* bothers me as I sure don't see a rotary being needed in this case.

*IMO* it's a nice steep learning curve; you'll get the hang of it in no time. *VERY* different from the curve with a rotary ;)

It's not quite rotary-fast but it's *WORLDS* faster than a PC. Simply no comparison IME. For one thing, you can get good results with pads/products that don't work all that well via PC.

I generally use ~6-6.5" ones, but even 7.5" pads can work effectively via Flex. Sounds like most of your work is on Fords (and otherwise on vehicles owned by non-Autopians anyhow), and I bet the Flex will just *fly* through correction on that medium-soft clear.



The ~6" Griot's orange pad (different from regular orange pads, milder) works *GREAT* on the Flex, though you have to be a little careful because the velcro goes all the way to the edge of the pad. I can't help but wonder how that pad with M205 would work for you via Flex for one-steps on some of those in-laws cars.
