Ron`s *OFFICIAL* Detail Fest Pics.

Was wondering/noticing the same.

I was thinking the same thing

the first pics from sat were before the doors opened.. being a judge has its perks...

cant really be sure on crowds since the layput didnt show how crowded it was or wasnt

sun seemed a little light, but vendors seemed to be booming and i didnt get to any classes since i was hittong vendors for new stuff and info

Looks fun.

I`m wondering if those who attended this & other years - if you prefer the new/old location & why?

I`ve been to 2 DFs, and for me - it seems like I would like the outside vibe better.

My 8th DF in a row. Even though it was in a single `room`, the one at AG felt smaller. The past few years most of the vendors were in one big tent, so maybe that was why it felt that way.

Plus:
  • All inside with A/C. Yes it is March, but it gets warm walking around in the sun
  • Spent less on bottles water!
  • Two class rooms (and since folks were not taking up seats just to be the A/C, plenty of spots)

Minus:
  • No warehouse tour
  • You were able to place an online order, but not sure how the delivery worked. In the past it was ready in an hour or so.
  • No food trucks
  • No advertised Saturday night gathering

This was the first year I did not stay overnight. $250 /night is excessive for a `downtown` location, when I can stay at the beach for less.

Even though it may not have been advertised, there was a Saturday night meet & greet. Very nice actually. It was outside near the pool , but more of a private area.

It was definitely a different show for us. As stated above there were pluses and minus`s including an expensive host hotel. It was great that we had AC... that was a variable each year as to whether it would be hot or raining, figures the one year it`s cool and sunny we are indoors  It really would be hard to judge it fairly as this was a first year indoor event and very little in common with past events. Did miss seeing our friends Matt Steele & Wayne Carini here this year :( Overall it was a great weekend with old and new friends ... we`ll all forget the rest ;)
