2004 Rolls Royce Phantom. Regular customer, although I've seen his custom F-250 more than the Rolls lately. It hadn't been polished out in about a year but was holding up well. I started with Zaino Z-PC using a white LC polishing pad, followed by Clearkote's Pink (50/50 VM and RMG) Moose, also using a white LC pad and waxed with my 80/20 blend of Meguiars #16 and FK's Pink Wax.

2007 Pontiac Solstice. Pretty new but still some light swirls and marring and a few interior stains and grime. Overall though, it was in decent shape.

I started with Optimum Polish using green Edge Cyclo polishing pads, followed by Clearkote's Pink (50/50 VM and RMG) Moose, also using a white LC pad and waxed with my 80/20 blend of Meguiars #16 and FK's Pink Wax.

I spent a good portion of the detail thinking really evil thoughts about whoever designed that idiotic honeycomb rear grill. Apparently, no one involved thinks anyone might clean their cars and resent spending 20-30 minutes cleaning that area. :furious:

Pontiac has really made huge strides with their interiors, really nice fit and finish and excellent choice of materials. Woolite/water to clean the vinyl and leather, BioKleen Traffic Lane Cleaner for the carpet and mats. Vinyl dressed with Optimum Protectant Plus and leather with Zaino Z10.

scott what makes you choose your LSP?

I know you have souveran why would'nt you it on those cars?

Do you ask the customer if durability is a concern?

thanx

Nice work as usual, Scott. That Solstice looks like a fun, affordable ride. The Rolls..., well, what can I say.:bow

Cheers,

wow the phantom look incredible, that what all the rap star riding in all those music video.I bet you detail job better than those in the video scott.

Very nice on both cars.

Man....did you use a Q-tips to clean each one of those honey combs:cry: PITA

Great work as always Scott :bow

The rear honey comb isn't painted is it?

Does the Solstice have any trunk space? It looks like a fun little car.

Whenever you post black cars in the click and brag, you always make me drool  but the depth of these 2 cars is simply AMAZING :bow

As always........:bow

It's funny, a buddy and I were out looking at cars the other day (he is looking....not me) and we were looking at the Solstice. First thing outta my mouth was, "Yer the one that's gonna be cleaning those honeycomb things......not me!"

wooow - i'd be worried about even washing the RR - never mind polishing etc.

good job

never seen the other one before - dont have them this side of the pond.

The #16/PW blend has been very durable for me, I tend to reach for it first when detailing solid black cars. The Solstice is driven by a woman and I am not sure if I will see it very often and the Rolls, it will be a base for Souveran, which I will probably use the next few times I wax it.

Bryan-no problems with the front grill, it is open behind it. The rear has plastic directly behind the honeycombs so dirt collects in all the corners. I had to use the tip of an MF towel on each and every one of them and work it into all the corners. :angry

Even if you were to use a pressure washer on it, there is no guarantee you still won't have to spend time working dirt out of each corner, especially if the car is really dirty (like this one was). It is a horrible design flaw on an otherwise really nice car.
