Rock Hard Coated Leather...help....

My 2007 Mazda3 has the "leather" interior. It's ROCK hard, even when new. Any ideas as to how to soften it up?

That is the million dollar question. I don't think it will, but others swear it helps. I have tried flax seed oil on the back side of leather and it worked great.

Try kneading it with a hot, damp towel(Or a steamer would be better)? Then once the pores are open try hitting it with some conditioner of choice.
