I painted several chips on my hood. Used dealer touch-up paint with a 000 brush. The spots are now "silvery, shiny" and stick out like a sore thumb. What's up with that? Do I need to remove and start over?
The touch-up paint sold by dealerships and the like is a Lacquer based paint. You should be able to rub it off with some thinner (depending on how long it's been curing) or sand it down w/2000 girt sandpaper
